What is the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ?

Let's read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 

1 "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the GOSPEL which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,

2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ DIED for our sins according to the Scriptures,

4 and that He was BURIED, and that He ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the Scriptures. (This is Jesus doing His part in the Plan of Salvation.)

                  This is Jesus doing His part!                       This can be YOU doing your part! 

How does one "obey the Gospel (good news) of Jesus"?

Let's read Romans 6:3-5

3"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His DEATH?

4 Therefore we were BURIED with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was RAISED FROM THE DEAD by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,  (This is YOU and ME doing our part by obeying the Plan of Salvation.) 

The Gospel Summarized

The Gospel is:   Jesus.....DEATH.....BURIAL.....RESURRECTION

To obey it:           YOU.....DEATH.....BURIAL.....RESURRECTION 

                                       (to sin)     (baptism)    (to a new life)

Baptism is the point you are put into Christ. Without it, you will still be outside of Christ.

Things found IN Christ:

• Every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3)
• Forgiveness of sins (Eph. 1:7)
• No condemnation (Rom. 8:2)
• New creation (2 Cor. 5:17)
• Grace (2 Tim. 2:1)
• Salvation (2 Tim. 2:10)
• Eternal life (1 John 5:11)                      NONE of these are found OUTSIDE of Christ
