God purchased his church with his
own blood.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore
unto yourselves, and to all the
flock, over the which the Holy
Ghost hath made you overseers,
to feed the church of God, which
he hath purchased with his own blood.
How
could the Spirit of God have
blood?
He robed himself in flesh so he
could make the ultimate
atonement for our souls.
John 1:29 ¶The next day John
seeth Jesus coming unto him, and
saith, Behold the Lamb of God,
which taketh away the sin of the
world. Blood was necessary to free the
offender from charge.

On the day of Pentecost, the
church began. The Gospel message
proclaims remission of sins, when
we are baptized in Jesus name,
and the promise of the Holy
Ghost when we turn from sin to live for
God. For he has
purchased us with his own blood.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift
of the Holy Ghost.
